MMA (or Mixed Martial Arts) is a combination of different fighting sports and martial arts.
MMA consists of 3 phases:
_ Striking: percussion techniques with punches and kicks used in boxing, karate, muay thaï
_ Wrestling: techniques of projections used in free fight, judo, sambo
_ Grappling: ground techniques using articular keys or strangles inspired by Brazilian jiujutsu without kimono.
MMA is a complete discipline that teaches how to use and combine all these different fighting skills, transitioning from standing to ground, together with cardio training.
Boxing gloves, shin guards, mouth guards and groin protection are required for practice.
